Mixed Bag

We haven't ridden together since last Thursday 😞
Friday and Saturday his BFF was in town
Sunday after his friend left he decided to go ride on his own. Didn't say a word til he returned! 

Monday not only did our evening ride get rained out but my morning ride did too!
Bad day for bike rides 🚲😢
Rain, more damn rain! Tuesday night's ride and this evening's ride rained out! 😠

Puttin In The Work

Tuesday was rained out, Wednesday it was scorching hot even so late in the evening.

Today we rode! I wasn't taking no for an answer 😉

Anthony rode hard this evening, kept those pedals movin!!

Ain't Stoppin Us!

 

Our evening ride time is 7:00.  I tried to get Anthony to go earlier to avoid the rain I worried would be falling by 7p, nope. 
Out the door we went at 7p into the rain!  Thankfully it was just a very light sprinkle and stopped about 5 minutes into our ride. 
Tried a different route tonight, same distance but got it done faster. I keep telling him with increases like this he's gonna be joining my morning ride before summer is out! "Nah, won't be joinin ya ever!" was his reply. LOL

No Ride Sunday

Sundays are no ride days for me since I also ride M-F mornings.  Anthony indicated no unhappiness about not riding today LOL

I'm Family Too!

Tonight as we're ridin I hear a female voice say "Get off the bikes! Get off the bikes!" I looked in her direction then looked at Anthony questioningly "She's ok, she's always out and about."  She continued "I love family rides. Look we have a beige one and a dark brown one and I'm a light brown one, like a family. I'm family too! I need a bike."  I heard her continue talking about needing a bike as we turned the corner and continued our ride. 

Y'all look what Anthony did - a faster pace and more mileage again tonight!

Doesn't Know Any Strangers

Is there anyone in this neighborhood this man doesn't know?!  Every street we were on he was talkin to someone!
"Hey man, what's up?" "Yeah, just out for a short ride" "Got it yesterday so we can ride together" "This is my motorcycle. vroom! vroom!"

The First Ride

Today we purchased a bike for Anthony, he was little kid at Christmas excited about it. 

As soon as we got home and before taking it inside to remove the tags and adjust the seat he was out ridin it and figuring out the gears

After the day had cooled off a bit we went for our first ride. When asked how he was the conversation went like this: "My butt kinda hurts" "Even with the gel seat cover?" "Yeah, well you know butts were not made to sit on bike seats."  I couldn't argue with that! 😆
